Carrot Harvest

What a great way to celebrate the 4th of July. We harvested our carrots today. We are really pleased with this first crop. We will plant some more for a fall harvest. We ended up with some really "unique" carrots and some really "ugly" ones too. You will have to check some them out at the bottom of this post. We will be enjoying carrots for the next week, that is for sure. There is nothing like fresh carrots out of the garden.

What a beautiful bounty! I harvested too - three tiny carrots which I split between all of my children!!! :) You're blessed!

It took us three years to finally get the hang of growing carrots. We will be planting another crop of carrots this week so we can have some fresh ones in the fall. Boy, do they taste great. The girls said they never want to eat store bought carrots again:)
