Is Pregnancy Tantamount to Slavery?

"... (Dawn) Johnsen said that any restriction that makes abortion less accessible is, in her view, tantamount to “involuntary servitude” because it “requires a woman to provide continuous physical service to the fetus in order to further the state’s asserted interest [in the life of the unborn].”
In effect, a woman “is constantly aware for nine months that her body is not her own: the state has conscripted her body for its own ends.” Such “forced pregnancy,” she contends, violates the Thirteenth Amendment, which prohibits slavery."

I didn't think I could be shocked anymore, but this totally floored me. I can't imagine ANYONE actually believing this. I grieve for the babies that have been killed because of people like this and also for the lives of women who have been destroyed because they believe what people like this woman say. It is a tragedy a real tragedy and it is happening here in our own country. We really must pray that our country returns to God before He decides to reign down His wrath on our country for such abominable atrocities.

Ok, this makes me SOOO mad. FYI lady in the article...NO ONE is forcing you to get pregnant and "become a slave" There are ways to NOT get pregnant...jeez. This world sees abortion as birth control. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! I am so grieved about this issue. I wish there was something more that I could do....

Dawn,
You are helping. You are raising your daughters to KNOW that children are a blessing and not a curse. You are raising them that abortion is NEVER the answer. We can make a difference one person at a time. As God brings women across your path that you can educate then you will.
