"Government schools have taught for roughly two generations that bad decisions are the result of a lack of information and that if children (or adults, for that matter) are just properly informed they will choose wisely. As with so many other things promoted by the government school establishment, this view is simply false."

Where Are All the Healthy Churches?
"Many believers out there who have committed their lives to home discipleship are desperate to find a healthy church that shares, nurtures, and teaches their doctrinal convictions. In conversation after conversation people ask me (a total stranger who in some cases has never even been to their town) if I know of any “good” churches in their area. As I have processed these conversations, I have noticed a recurring pattern. These families are looking for churches that 1) preach and teach sound doctrine; 2) support, promote and practice home discipleship; 3) are led by godly, manly elders, and 4) practice church discipline."

God Bless America and Her Patriotic People
Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City , Georgia , just south of Atlanta , on June 11, 2009 . The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough , Georgia . A
simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and
the approximate time.
Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor
and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that
there are many places in this land where people still recognize the
courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of
those graceful places. The link below is a short travelogue of that
day's remarkable and painful journey. But only watch this if you wish to
have some of your faith in people restored.

What Happens When You "Fall" in Love?
This morning, my daughters and I were listening to a sermon they talked about Biblical love and what it is. You always hear, from the world's perspective, about "falling" in love and "falling" out of love. Marriages starting and stopping because two people fell into and out of love. But what does God say about love? While we were talking about the world's view, I asked them, "What happens when you fall?" My youngest daughter said, "You get hurt." I said, wow, you are so right. Anytime you FALL, you get hurt. And falling in love you will be no different, you will get hurt. God says that love is an action. If you LOVE someone you will be
"...patient, kind, not envious, not boastful, not proud, not rude, not self-seeking, not easily angered, you will keeps no record of wrongs, you will not delight in evil but rejoice with the truth, you will always protect, always trust, always hope, always persevere."

Carrot Harvest
What a great way to celebrate the 4th of July. We harvested our carrots today. We are really pleased with this first crop. We will plant some more for a fall harvest. We ended up with some really "unique" carrots and some really "ugly" ones too. You will have to check some them out at the bottom of this post. We will be enjoying carrots for the next week, that is for sure. There is nothing like fresh carrots out of the garden.

Horse Riding Lessons
Last month, Hannah & Alicia began horse riding lessons. They are really loving it and are improving with only two lessons so far. Thank you, Stephanie for taking your time and sharing your experience to teach my ladies how to ride and encourage their love for horses.
