Serving our Father's

Me working with my Dad.

I must really say that, I love my Dad. I want to share a few ideas of how we can serve our Father's.

The first idea: Offer to massage his feet and do it cheerfully! (I try to do it every night after dinner).

Second idea: Make his favorite dessert to surprise him.

Third idea: Obey him the first time, without arguing.

Fourth idea: Thank him when he corrects you.

I hope you find these ideas helpful.

This comment isn't really about what you posted, although those are wonderful ideas. I was responding to a comment that Lanita recently left on Stacy McDonald's blog. You said (my paraphrase), "I can't wait for grandchildren. Of course, more children of my own would be a blessing too." I just had to stop by and say hello to a woman whose heart is like my own. And given that you married your highschool sweetheart in 1980, we are probably close to the same age, mid to late 40's. I, too, would love more children of my own and am actually praying for that...whether through adoption or through my womb (I've battled secondary infertility for 14 years). Usually, people my age think I'm insane for wanting more children. They can't wait for their kiddos to be gone. So, to hear another "older mom" say what you said was music to my ears. I just wanted to say hi..and that I was blessed by your words.

Blessings,
Patti

Patti,
Thank you so much for your comments. It is nice to here from someone who is in a similar situation. I have desired more children for over 13 years. My two youngest daughters pray almost daily for us to have more children. I am 46. I have a 27 year old daughter, 24 year old son, a 14 year old daughter and a 13 year old daughter. I will keep praying until I feel God letting me know that it will never happen. My youngest two daughters are adopted, so I woulnd't mind adopting again, but I would love to be pregnant again. Keep in touch and let me know how God blesses you. I will keep you in my prayers.
