A Blessing!!

Children are considered a blessing to the Lord.
Children really are a blessing.
I love being with children! I love watching them play together.
I enjoy watching little girls pretend to take care of there little babies.
I also enjoy watching little boys play with their cars and trucks.
God loves children.
Jesus loves children as well, "He said, Let the little children come to me."
I thank God that he created and blesses us with children!!

Community organizers pray to their new deity, or something

Watch this video that my husband emailed me from Hot Air. Decide for yourself what is being said. Try to listen to it before you watch, as there are sub titles that might influence what you hear. We really need to pray for our country.

What can church and parents do to stop our young people from leaving?

by: Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

"Statistics indicate that around two-thirds of children who grew up in conservative churches are now leaving by the time they reach their twenties. What seems to be the problem?

The pattern of young people leaving the church is different than it was even in some recent generations, where it was more temporary. It now appears, in the lives of millions of young people raised in our churches, to be a rather permanent alienation from the church and from the truth claims of Christianity.
Their worldview was evidently not shaped adequately by biblical truths such that they were able to withstand the tide of the secular culture and the allure of the other worldviews around them."

The Spoiled Dog

"Boy, Dad, that bread pudding sure looks good."
"ho, hum, I sure would like some bread pudding..."
"is that my bite?"
"It sure looks good, but it is almost gone, I sure would like just a little bite."
"The last bite, I know that one is for me..."
"ahhh, ain't Dad great, he feeds me chocolate cake (ok, it is just bread pudding)"
"Can I have some milk with that bread pudding?"

My First Salmon- Fishing & Obedence Lessons

Today we went fishing for salmon. It was a lot of fun. We went to the Wallace river near Sultan. We left early this morning, after packing a lunch of sandwiches, carrots and nuts. The weather was nice and sunny. There were lots of fish jumping and we caught a lot of them, but they only broke our lines. I caught 4 fish and got them just about on shore when they broke my line. We forgot our nets at the car (all three of them) and we were quite a ways away from the car, so we did not go back to get them. But then I caught one! It was 21 inches from head to tail. I do not know how much it weighed. It was very slimy. It put up a good fight. When we got it on shore it was still flopping a lot, so I whacked its head on the rocks to knock it out. Then I put it in a plastic bag, and took the hook out of the fish. The fish woke up and started to bite threw the bag, so I wrapped it up in the bag and it flopped around for a while before it died. I know you are probably wondering what it has to do with obedience. When I had hooked the first few fish (the ones that got away) I was reeling them in at my own pace and speed and it got away. But then my mom instructed me on how to do it better. I followed her instructions, and I caught my fish (the one in the picture). So I learned it is better to trust my parents experience and obey them immediately. If I had not obeyed mom immediately I would not have caught my fish and would not have been very happy. But I am excited I caught my fish. But most of all I am happy for this lesson on the importance in trusting the lessons my parents teach me. I hope everybody will find the same joy, when they obey their dad and mom or God immediately.

Our Encounter With Nature

Yesterday we set out to go fishing. While we enjoyed our day fishing (even though we did not catch anything, except for a few leaves and some branches), the best part of our day was our walk back to the car. As we went down this tree lined path, up ahead of us we saw a small doe in the middle of the path. As we came closer she just stood there and then we noticed a young buck off to the left. He was half hidden by trees and bushes. They just stood there watching us as we came closer and closer to them. We expected them to bolt, but they never did. We came so close to the doe that we could have reached out and touched her, but we did not. As we passed them by, much to our surprise they began to follow us. Ralph had the girls get between us, as we were unsure what the deer might do. The buck had been in a fight (he had a broken antler). As we continued down the path to our car they continued to follow us for a ways. We think they might have been hungry (we were carrying the remains of our lunch with us and they probably smelled it). They finally stopped following us, but we were quite amazed at the experience. God truly created a beautiful creature in the deer. Thank you, God for the blessing of Your creation, that You made for us to enjoy.
