Why Housewives Will Save the World

Patrice Lewis has written another marvelous article for World Net Daily.

"A housewife takes her marital vows seriously and does whatever it takes to make her husband feel like a man by giving him respect, dedication, love, faithfulness, a warm home and happy children. Housewives don't (or shouldn't) speak disparagingly of their husbands. We praise them. Praised men are happy men."

What Does God Expect of Women?

I have heard so many things over the years about what God expects of women, but unfortunately most of it was taken out of context from the Bible or was taken more from the world’s standard (feminism). I have been doing a lot of studying over the past four years of what God expects of me, why He created me and now I have decided to share it.
I will start with the beginning. Why did God create me, or why did He create women? In Genesis 2:18, 21-22, God said “Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone I will make him a helper suitable (corresponding to) for him.” “So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh at that place. And the Lord God fashioned (built) into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man.” So we see that the woman was created to be a suitable helper, she was equipped, prepared, perfect for supporting her husband in his work. And because God has not rescinded that purpose for creating women, we can reason that that is the still why women are being created, because it is not good for the man to be alone and he needs a suitable helper (help meet).
In Ephesians 5:22-24, we see that it says “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, (notice it doesn’t say you are to be subject to other men, just your OWN husband) as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Saviour of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.” (Surely God doesn’t really mean we are to be subject to them in EVERYTHING, He must mean only in some things, or the things I feel like being subject to or just the things that I agree with, or, or, or…) We are also shown in 1 Corinthians 11:3, how God ordered humanity, “But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.”
If that isn’t enough, it is also mentioned in Colossians 3:18, “Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.”
We find in Timothy a lot about being a wife and women of the Lord. In 1 Timothy 2:9-14, it says “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, (does God REALLY care what I wear?), modestly (with modesty, bashfulness toward men) and discreetly (self controlled), not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments; but rather by means of good works, as befits women making a claim of godliness. (it doesn’t mean that we can’t braid our hair, but that we shouldn’t spend a good deal of our time doing our hair and making ourselves LOOK good, but we should spend our time and energy more on what we do for others, then with how our hair looks). Let a woman quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. (Here again we see that submissiveness is complete, not partial, but ENTIRE.) But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression.” 1 Timothy 3:11, says “Women must likewise be dignified (honorable, honest), not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things.” We also find in 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, “Let the women keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but let them subject themselves, just as the Law also says. And if they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper (disgraceful) for a woman to speak in church.”
Titus 2 is quite explicit on what God wants women to be doing and how they should act. Titus 2:3-5, “Older women likewise are to be reverent (holy) in their behaviour, not malicious gossips, nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, that they may encourage (train) the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their husbands, that the word of God may not be dishonored (blasphemed).” Is there any doubt that God wants women to be at home taking care of their husbands and loving them, loving their children, taking care of their homes and training their daughters to do likewise?
I have a long way to go, but I am understanding more and more what God expects of me and I am attempting to put into practice what I am learning from His Word and training others to do likewise.

"Why I am a Keeper at Home!"

I found this tract on this blog. Pass this on to all the women you know.

A message to ladies, on the importance of being a keeper at home. Written by a pastor's wife, mother, and grandmother.

1. My God Demands It!

Titus 2:3-5 3. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4. That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

To blaspheme means to be evil spoken of, to speak reproachfully, or to speak against.

The bible says that the aged women are to teach the younger women to be keepers at home. Hey, grandma, just because your children are grown does not mean that you can get a job and start your career. God wants you to be an example to the young women.

God does not say that it is ok to work outside of the home as long as you have your house clean, meals cooked or children raised.

Ladies, we should not go against what God says, just so we can have bigger house, newer car, or nicer clothes.

Notice that God did not say to be a keeper of the home, but a kepper at home.

1 Timothy 5:14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

Someday, we will stand before God and give an account of how we obeyed God's Word. I want to obey God's Word. That's why I am a keeper at home.

2. My Groom Deserves It!

Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

God saw that it was not good that Adam be alone. According to Genesis 2:21 and 22, God took a rib from Adam's side and made the first woman and brought her unto him.

Ladies, we are a gift from God to our husbands. God gave me to my husband for a help meet for him, not to be a boss on some job.

Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Ladies, my groom deserves a keeper at home.

3. My Growing Children Desperately Need It!

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

One of the saddest things of our day is that mother's have left the home and given their children over to someone else to train and raise.

Our children are swiftly going away from God. Nurseries, day cares, and schools are teaching against Jesus. Listen om, no one loves your child more than you. God gave you the gift of a child, and it is your responsibility to train them up for God and to protect them.

I heard a preacher say, the best way to train up a chils is by example. Our little girls need to be shown a godly momma. The greatest memories your children will ever have will be a family where mom was a keeper at home.

(What kind of example are you setting?)

4. My Generation Degrades it!

This generation makes fun of mothers that stay at home. They say she is not important if she does not have a career. It does not matter what the world says, it only matters what God says. Ladies, I want to please God. I want a better relationship with my husband, I want to train up my children to love God, that's why I am a keeper at home!

Keepers of the Faith

My daughters have been participating in a Keepers of the Faith group for almost two years. We have six families who participate. There are 31 children in our families. (but only about 15 are old enough to participate.)The boys have learned lots of skills that are important to Young Men. The Young Ladies have made lots of things and learned new skills, such as soap making, flower pressing, candle making, gardening, plastic canvas, baking, decopage, scrapbooking, sign language, rubber stamping, learned about trees and flowers, worked on the trait of cheerfulness and spend one day a month cheering up and playing games with the elderly in a nursing home. They have also memorized several portions of Scripture, as well as the Books of the Bible. This month they learned basket weaving. They really enjoyed this. Their Daddy even told them that they could make them and put some of their homemade soaps into them to sell them.
