The Miracle of Hearing

We Are Seeing Green already!!

The girls were so excited this morning. When they got up they went and checked on our seeds and discovered that there were two kinds of onions coming up already and one of the tomato plants. Tonight the tomato plant already has two leaves on it and more "green" is popping up in the other pots. It is truly a miracle that we are watching unfold, as these little seeds become plants which will bear vegetables and fruit that we will use to nourish our family. I am so thankful that God has blessed us this way.

I Witnessed a Miracle!!

I have to tell you that God is AWESOME!!! He is ALWAYS watching over His children.

Yesterday afternoon, it began snowing lightly, then increased over the next several hours. My wonderful husband went to work about 4 pm and at 6:30 he called to tell me that he was on his way home. We had about 1/4-1/2 inch of snow on our driveway. I asked him if I should shovel it off, but he said no, we have a four-wheel drive and it could handle that little bit of snow. (we were able to drive easily through 2 feet of snow, so what was that little bit.)

Well, he pulls the car into the driveway, sets the brake and emergency brake and gets out. He goes to the back of the car to get things out of the back. Once he opens the hatch, the car starts sliding down the driveway. I yelled at him that the car is sliding. He was trying to decide whether to jump in the back or get out of the way, when it just stopped. It slid about 18 inches on a modest hill and stopped before it got to the bottom.

I have to tell you, it hit me like a ton of bricks that that was a VERY close call. The ONLY explanation is that God stopped that car from going any further. My husband could have been run over, it could have continued down the driveway and hit the car across the street with my husband pinned between (and if any of you know his history, that wouldn't have been the first time he was pinned between two cars because of icy roads)!

It took me several hours before I realized that I had witnessed a real live miracle. I thanked God over and over and over and over again that He spared my husband's life and body.
